Highlights:
- Running into Guy Kawasaki (his website). I chatted briefly with him. For anyone interested in entrepreneurship, consider Guy a terrific role model. Look him up on YouTube -- great advice on what entrepreneurship really means and how to have the right attitude going into it.
- Google's booth. After iLife 2009 wowed my socks off, free software made a strong recovery when a Googler demoed the Mac Picasa desktop client for me. Finally, something designed to automate the Facebook image uploading process. I'm already using it and LOVE it. Any Mac/Facebook users, it's a must have. Get it here.
- Live performance from SMULE: iPhone users likely recognize the name. This team created the Ocarina app and was performing as a group in their booth. Check out my YouTube upload.
- Wifi-enabled SD card: I hate wires, so I was really excited to see this at work. One company had enbedded a Wifi chip into an SD card and could wirelessly transfer photos from a digital camera to a computer. It was $80 for a 2 gig card -- too steep for me right now -- but the technology works and I'm looking forward to it becoming popular.
I had a great time attending the conference with my brother-in-law. MacWorld, I'll see you next year!
